The Incredible Years®

The Incredible Years® parent training intervention is a series of programs focused on strengthening parenting competencies; such as monitoring, positive discipline, and confidence, and fostering parents' involvement in children's school experiences in order to promote children's academic, social and emotional competencies, and reduce conduct problems. The parent programs are grouped according to age:

Babies and Toddlers (0-3 years)

Basic Early Childhood (3-6 years)

Basic School Age (6-12 years)

Advance Years (12-14 years)

"Parenting education provides parents and other caregivers with programs, information, resources, and support to improve and enhance their capacity and confidence in raising children.

"Parenting education, a relationship-based process, occurs in an emotionally supportive environment and is delivered in a variety of formats. The practice involves the expansion of insights, understanding and attitudes, and the acquisition of knowledge and skills regarding the development of parents, their children and relationships, optimizing both parents' and children's ability to function successfully in the world."
